Alice in Wonderland

~Alice in Wonderland ~
( featuring Kids Culinaire- kids culinary
event ..truly a very first of its kind )

Spring is the most beautiful season of the
year !!Warm bright sun, gorgeous carpet of
spring flowers and lush green grass with
hovering bees and butterflies  is surely a
treat to senses. The cool breeze gives the
perfect excuse for even lazying around
with your favourite book. Lil one is a big
girl now (thats what she likes to be called
in std 5.) I recently bought a set of story
books for her  ,which she is thoroughly
enjoying. While she was busy reading Alice
in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, I decided to
breathe in some life to her snack plate !!

Kids Culinaire
( a food festival designed exclusively for kids)
Spring is the time of outdoor festivals and events
too. Few weeks back Delhi witnessed a very first
of its kind - a food festival exclusively designed for
kids. With the aim of teaching kids about healthy
choices and importance of fresh local produce,
it had endless food  activities, games, stories
and demos to keep the lil ones enthralled.

Kids making Grape caterpillars and posing with their owl
sandwiches. It was so fun to be with the kids

The two day fun festival amidst the lush greenery
of Nehru park was definitely  a treat to the senses.
Conceptualised  by Pilcrow Communications , Kids
Culinaire was truly a wonderland for kids. It was
surely a pleasure to be a part of such a lovely
event. The food art sessions by me were
designed keeping in mind the age and artistic
inclination  of the kids these days, who not only
enjoyed making cute foods  but also had loads
 of fun relishing it too.

strawberry orange spring salad  with me.

India's youngest chef Saransh Goila made some

yummy smoothies and strawberry mice while
Chef Ranveer Brar , judge of current season of
Master Chef India ,won over the tiny palates
and hearts with his secret ingredient recipes.

with some lip smacking smoothies.

There was a healthy tiffin making completion for

mommies too where I shared loads of tiffin making
and packing tips with them. Ayesha Grewal of the
organic store , Altitude ran super thrilling food tours
for the kids where they could touch , feel and learn
all about  veggies, fruits grains and dairy products.
There is an old Chinese that says- "Tell me and
will forget, show may and I may remember and
involve me and I will understand aptly fits for
this event that involved the kids to learn and
 prepare healthy nutritious food.
